Had a chance to get up close to HAL’s Dhruv Mk.4 Rudra armed helicopter today, the first of which (this one) is to be handed over to the Indian Army’s aviation corps this week. Fine beast.
Its not quite the gunship cum troop carrier I had mistakenly imagined it to be. There is no meaningful space inside from the perspective of carrying loaded paras etc.
All the same it is awesome!! what immense firepower!
it might be a trivial qn, but why isnt the infrared camera/ machine gun sight on the chopper's nose black in colour? it almost seems like a last minute installation or an afterthought…
what are those green casings inside the cabin?
