Yeah right. Samtel indeed. The first displays show labels that say Bendix/King . Passing off American equipment as French/Samtel indigenous isn't funny
dickhead, they are to be made under license in india by samtel. read before you comment. samtel has tie-ups with honeywell and other companies as well.
Atleast people are trying to get the tech … we know that we lack in the technology R&D prowess … atleast by getting into tie ups, we can learn the basics of the business and ultimately get into indigenisation…
Another more advanced product (foreign) will be available thus this wont help in indignising Indian defense industry. India has fallen into a trap, unless it settles in the short term for lesser capable stuff, then it is gonna suffer in long term.
This is a response to the first 'Bendix/King' comment — I just googled Bendix/King and found this: Bendix/King is the brand name for Honeywell's General Aviation range of Avionics (https://www.bendixking.com/history/history.jsp). Samtel will be making the EFIS40 for Honeywell, which falls in this range. Perhaps that's why the photo says Bendix/King. This photo thumbnail is also there on Honeywell Bendix/King website.

Shiv,
Reports here would be nice. Just images from a brochure is a let-down.

As far as I know, they are making low cost AMLCD displays for Naval and Military use. Don't know whether they can be used for PRIMUS500 radars or not…
