Prahaar Missile Tested Successfully

India’s newest missile Prahaar was successfully tested a short while ago at the Integrated Test Range off India’s East Coast. DRDO sources says the launch took place around 8.15AM. At this time, two sources in DRDO confirm that the weapon met all test parameters. The missile was tracked by telemetry points a Indian Navy vessels along its path, and is said to have killed a target in the Bay of Bengal “with high accuracy”. DRDO will issue a statement (and hopefully photos) in a short while. Will update this post. Stay tuned.

  1. People start blaming DRDO for even bad weather but they keep working silently and keeps delivering with little funds that are allocated to it. My salute to under-appreciated scientists of DRDO.

  2. congrats to Dr.V.K.Saraswat and his team for successful launch …….. hope after this we r ahead of Pakistan in BRBM thanks shiv for reporting it very fast

  3. @MrRa India has high yield thermobaric compounds, aka Fuel Air explosives which can create extremely powerful blasts without the fuss of international bans. If we really wanted to launch nuke at short range we can always use Prithvi with 350 km range.

  4. You can put any thing in the pie if it is bigger then 155mm however it is easier to use conventional explosives
