I accompanied the Sri Lankan Navy on one of its fast-attack craft, P451 (part of the Fast Boat Squadron) on Friday for a special report for Headlines Today on the naval cordon around the warzone in North-Eastern Sri Lanka. We departed from Trincomalee Naval Base, and headed north uptil the warzone in Mullaitivu. We did speed runs 2 nautical miles off the coast of Vellamullivaikal, the area where the last of the LTTE is understood to face its final few hours, unless of course, Prabhakaran has escaped.
