I thought the KA-226 is just another junk ..until i saw this video ..even though it looks just like its our of cold war era helo …its maneuverability is good … Am not sure abt the avionics…
Any updates on the RFI that the Indian Navy has issued for a sub-4500 kg twin engine SAR helicopter to replace the Chetak. Are Agusta Westland, Kamov and Eurocopter also being sought to provide details ? Any chance of the Nvay toeing the Army/AirForce line and accepting the same aircraft (will help by ensuring commonality of spares)?

Which is better in ur opinion?
The Ka-226T is more versatile. It has a modular design which enables it to be reconfigured for a variety of roles.
kamov looks quite roomy…

Yeah, it looks roomy, but the avionics looks clumpsy … May be they refined it later …
May the best one win ..

There is also a rumor that the RFP has been cancelled … Is it true
Just make one based on Dhruv. Why Splurge?
