No arjun..why doesn't the army promote its use of arjun..its as if they've been forced to use it..and on the other hand its perfectly happy with T-72..a single photo of arjun been treated on par with T 90 would have been a sight..heck even T 72 is treated nice..why this kolaveri..
Army has found out another 23.5 areas of improvement in Arjun while trying to park it outside training range. The .5 is because they are still not sure whether its an improvement, defect or completely new feature 🙂
Glad to see the T-72s are finally being upgraded. But as past wars have shown even with Kontact ERA the T-72 is still vulnerable to anti-tank missiles. They all need to be replaced with T-90s and Arjuns before the end of the decade.
I hope the Indian Army finally got the funding to order air conditioning systems for these tanks. A major issue is that the temperature inside gets so high in hot and humid conditions that crew members are dehydrated and even prone to fainting. DRDO tried to develop an air conditioner and (surprise) failed.
I think here nobody noticed that there is no T-90 TANKS photos. Or is there anybody know that in which photo T-90 has been shown. After all t-90 is the core strength of indian army's mechanized division at present. Does anybody have any answer.
Army seems to be Happy, to use Vintage T 72, Watered Down T 90. (Both Tanks incapable of Fighting at Night). When it Comes to Arjun MBT, which is a much Capable Tank. Army gets Cold Feet. I Wonder Why ? Its only Indian Navy, who support`s Indegenous Hardware, while the Rest are Happy with what ever they get from Foreign Vendors. Even if they are, Watered Down Version`s.
too much huffing and puffing with these rumbling beasts ..should move on to new technologies and tools,,seems like the tank era is over, big monstors rolling down making lot of noise and creating lot of dust can be detected easily…

Thanx for the photos.
T-90,s look menacing in the deserts. They must be formidable in combination with Arjun,s and adequate air support.
Where is our desert Ferrari Arjun ? Those T-72s look so dated

anon @11:27 pm, among the best toungue in cheek statements I have read in a while on a defense blog.
Take a bow.
Yes, I also see that there are no Pics of T-90s. Anyhow does not matters and better luck next time.
Where are the Arjuns? Can you kick some MOD butt for doing what they do best. Ignoring desi stuff.
Dear Shiv,
Any idea on progress of T-72s with regard to optics/electronics/running gear/

Shiv…a mig-21 has crashed, any update on it.
The second picture from the top, is the soldier carrying an 84mm Carl Gustav? I'm surprised at their continued use in this age of ERA.
