Saw this only today. The funniest group of answers to a quiz I have ever read. Warp drive, engine starter, air conditioning – hilarious.
So, as the designer of this installation, it is a chaff and flare system, the aircraft is Mig-27, but the system is not from Elta but from IMI (Israel Military Industries).
The prototype was installed around 1997, on a Mig-23BN, as far as I recall, at Ojar.
I was delighted to see this close-up picture of my work, and will be even happier to see more pictures, if you have them.
