The HTT-40 trainer mock-up that HAL unveiled this morning at Aero India. The IAF is reported to have has deemed the project too expensive. HAL had signature optimism about the HTT-40 though. “It is an indigenous platform. Such platforms should be the priority of the IAF. Any country can import platforms. It is another matter to build them,” said one HAL general manager associated with the programme.
dead at birth? get a life….
"It is an indigenous platform. Such platforms should be the priority of the IAF. Any country can import platforms. It is another matter to build them,"
Liked the changed attitude (infused optimism! This project should go ahead with or without IAF order. Indian industry should and must look beyond orders from home. There are many small country who are selling similar products world wide as such is requirement which in no sense is going to dry out even as world moves to sixth generation fighters.
Way to go HAL, if situation gets unfavorable, elongate the development timeline and fund it self!
Please do not go ahead with this project.
its called "dead on arrival", not dead on birth.
Yondoo Baniya
not – dead at birth… still birth…
Sashi I would say thats a horrible line you have posted….and about dead at Birth…i would rename it Born to Kill…..take it from us we would redefine this business…
Yes we are not gonna ask for funds that will be our project and the day uncle charlir retires we will gift the first flight of this aircraft…and then let the country decide whats cheaper…
They are shooting on their own foot again. LOL
Let HAL finish with the IJT first. Their track record with delivering any aircraft on any sort of schedule is pathetic. Can't let IAF rookies die while we wait for the expensive and definitely delayed HTT.
it's DOA – Dead On Arrival.
The pertinent question. Why was the HTT 40 dropped some years ago?
What awful hand shaped that decision?
It was that decision- and other s like it which have hobbled our efforts to grow an Industry.
The pertinent question.
Why was the HTT 40 shelved some years back?
What awful hand shaped that decision?
It is that hand which has repeatedly
hobbled our progress in Aeronautics whilst giving all the while an impression that things are moving.
Wow dead on planning itself. Where is LCATejas?
Well cost of a single PC-7 is around 30-35 crores something compared to a single HTT-40 of 60 crores, this is ridiculous indigenous products are supposed to cost less than the imports well HAL priced HTT-40 twice more than PC-7 MK2,hence HAL have payed the price for it's HTT-40 rejection.
better to say abortion..
iaf didn't want the htt 34, then later the htt 35 and now the htt 40. Oh yea but they will happily accept the pilatus PC 7 mk 2.foreign maal zindabaad. Who doesn't like a holiday in Switzerland
So true IAF is obsessed with foreign maal
Let give HAL and HTT 40 a chance
