  1. Where the hell is mmrca. It supposed to be completed in last december and then this january and this also comes to end.

  2. This is really awesome and a much needed force multiplier for our depleted submarine arm should these AUV's come to fruition.

Imagine having dozens of these patrol the Malacca Straits, the Palk Straits and other strategic channels of water remotely and round the clock transmitting sonar data via sat-link to a central station.

One day I hope the Indian Navy would have the ability to monitor all the sea traffic in the Indian ocean in real time or pretty close, much like how the Air Force monitors Indian Air Space and the surroundings.

  3. @Anon 3:59 PM: MMRCA is supercruising at the moment evading the radars of most of the analysts, bloggers! 😀

  4. What happened to the MMRCA.It is already running behind time..There were a lot of news abt january deadline…Now even that is slipping away..How much time the MOD needs to calculate the L1 bidder. Is they MOD making new mathematical fomula or theory???Delays after delays will only result in loss both stretegic and cost…I am tired of this Inefficient govt…which cannot take decisions at all…..Shame on AK antony and Monmohon singh

  6. Based on Dassault's bid for Swiss fighter competition against Saab Gripen, the price for the MMRCA bid for 126 aircraft works out to be approximately $21 Billion!!!!
