Here’s the India Today report we put together this afternoon based on a controversy that’s broken out online over Pakistan’s officially released video of a Babur-III submarine-launched cruise missile test yesterday. First, here’s that video:

Hours after the video did the rounds online, several observers on social media said aspects of the video suggested it had been doctored, with the possible use of computer graphics to fake the actual missile. The tweets of one particular expert, a retired Indian military satellite imagery analyst who goes by the Twitter monicker RajFortySeven, got serious with a series of tweets:

The analyst Raj47, whose tweets have since gone viral, is a retired Indian military officer with expertise in imagery analysis. Here’s his first hand post for India Today on how he arrived at the conclusion that Pakistan had faked the video. Meanwhile, there has been no official response from Pakistan (there’s been plenty of unofficial chatter) on suggestions that superimposed graphic images have been employed. Will update this post if and when we hear back.
What else do you expect from a nation whose very existence is based on lies and deceit ?
Some time ago the Chinx -Pakis had announced a 8 submarine deal for USD 5 bn. Is this a precursor to that deal? China delivers the submarine with a Chinese SLBM which the Pakis will then claim that they have retro fitted the SLBM after due modifications so that so nobody raises any questions about the Nuclear proliferation /Missile proliferation ???
Another question, given Pakis weak infrastructure, why is it that Paki missile tests never fail ??? Not even once to the best of my knowledge. Any any one enlighten me whether there have been any Paki missile test failures as on date ???
Pakis missile tests don’t fail because they don’t make any of these missile …they directly buy them from China, NK or Ukraine. They were all tested by the respective countries.
