This is an official illustration of India’s Arihant SSBN, made available to Frontline magazine by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). The shape looks to be pretty much what we saw in Visakhapatnam, barring the hump contours immediately behind the conning tower.

yep that's her. finally!!!
Have they called the kitchen the "gallery"???
Suhweeet. Time to make 100's to kick Ching Chong ass and to feed Pakis raw Pork
Thats just a generic cutaway of how a nuke sub looks, not the Arihant.
hmm.. how many days more we have to wait for news on LCA ..
some time I am wondering if you dont really have the time or will or both …
Sorry Shiv. As a defense Jur you should understand our pulse ..
Very good for a first indigenous attempt. Hope to see more bigger and better Arihants with such devastating capablity that India's enemies would think more than once before they launch a foolhardy attack.
India's arsenal for retaliatory reprisals should be of the nature that even the most powerful nations would realize the futility of attacking India with nuclear weapons.
Wish i could have a cup of coffee in its canteen…:waa
WOW. Four missiles. OOOOOh, so impressive, now we can finally strike 4 cities in China or Pak after crusing up to their shores.
it is indeed a generic drawing, but the DAE has unwittingly created the illustration indeed in an authentic hull shape of the ATV. this is precisely what the arihant looks like. finally, the silly mystery is over. here she is. all those idiots who said she looks like a charlie or akula can now eat dust, positively stuff their mouths with it.
The missile system illustrated doesn't seems like a 700 km one, can anybody throw a light regarding the missile system to be integrated.
guys….. its time(well in advance) to salute our great nation …. i hope every indian should be as powerful as a nuclear bomb…come on chinese lets seeeeeeeeeeee
I think the Frontline article is one of the honest reporting of ATV. OThers were jumping to be the first to report and someone even speculated the design. This article even gives glimpse of the heart of ATV. Good work Frontline.

Interestingly it's different from previously displayed 4-tube VLS layout.
Happy independence day!
wow, one submarine. Lets all clap and aww when the 10th one comes out.
You don't need subs to defeat pakis and chinkis, all you need is determination and some balls. They have been destabalizing us for 30 years +, and we just cry like little bitches. Take charge and send in some rebels and support uprisings in their countries to show them it can go both ways, otherwise you are just a waste of time. Pussies
Any idea what is the current position of LCA Navy? when will it fly?
Given its 11m beam there is no reason why it would not be having 8 silos and not just the 4 that are visible in the front row. Is the assessment of 4 silos based on some concrete report or is it just a result of DDM misunderstanding based on what was visible or understood to them?
its fake the real photo is not what is shown in graphics and by the way the sub is not ready ………the country has made a sub without the engine going critical…….bulshit……india fools even USA in nuclear test IT FOOLS ITS OWN PPL………..;-)
its all bulshit…..the sub is not ready….the engine is still not critical…forget china…india is not even close to making a own sub…;-0
