A comprehensive breakdown of how GE’s victory in the Tejas MK-II competition affects (or doesn’t) the Indian MMRCA fighter competition: what it does for the aircraft involved, how things may or may not change. Stay tuned.
Hello Mr Aroor, In the article you are publishing please include the spec of this F414-INS6 engine (dry and wet thrust, bypass ratio, compression ratio, how many stages) and would be wonderful if you can high lighten if it has any tech borrowed from YF-120 engine. I like the decision to go with Yanks, ADA/HAL has some experience now working on this engine, going for a upgraded version of F 404 make sense. For all those Typhoon fans out there, do not loose heart, who knows, typhoon could be selected given our previous selection of different air crafts (from migs to mirages to harriers/jaguars).
[email protected]: livefist has no post that ever said eurojet was the lowest bidder, or that it was ahead of ge in the competition. in fact after those reports appeared elsewhere, i posted here saying the competition wasn't over yet, since both engines were found to be equally compliant, and that a final decision was yet to come either way.
how about something on the impact on Kaveri and India's strategy on engine development. If there's anything thats unclear is what use / role for Kaveri?
Waiting here, get it, get it here fast. Cannot wait!

For LiveFist's sake get it right this time; unlike the EJ200 (lowest tender) fiasco.
Plz write about the modifications to Tejas air frame….
