Just got this photo of Air Chief Marshal FH Major on a recent visit to HAL, Bangalore. Here he is in the Tejas LSP hangar with HAL chairman Ashok Baweja and a bunch of others.
the apprehensions for tejas have only increased, not decreased. as reported by hindu a few days ago, ADA has constitued a group to study new engines as a replacement for the kaveri and gef404. eurojet has sent a pitch which is compatible with the tejas airframe with minimum modifications. looks like our people have finally come to their senses to ditch kaveri and the heavily underrated f404.
Any idea what the ACM’s comments on the Tejas were? also, I heard some rumours that the IAF was looking at another 20 Tejas’ order. is that something you’ve heard as well, Shiv?
hey shiv where is that review of of rajkumar’s book which you promised?
and a group of college interns working on it (to show that HAL is working) ….a cost cutting measure it seems………
It may be hoped that the Air Chief got properly briefed on the Tejas, and his past apprehensions removed.
Thanks.
Ajai: Nice one! Did he make any comments on the project?
