The Indian Agni-III intermediate range ballistic missile (IRBM) is scheduled to undergo its fourth and final development-phase test-firing in October this year. The last test of the missile was over a year ago on May 7 last year (see photo). Scientists at the Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL). Significantly, according to sources, this will be the final trial of the Agni-III’s development phase. Next year, the ASL and Integrated Test Range (ITR) will make a full effort to conduct two sets of user trials. Godspeed to ASL Director Avinash Chander and his team.

So slow so slow.
The speed is only now picking up because China is aggressive at our borders.
New Delhi has been sitting on the Agni-III for over a year now. Worse, the Agni-V ICBM has been ready for over a year and a half.
Only when the enemy knocks on the doors of Delhi, it seems the government wakes up.
I love this. Only four "tests" and a missile is 'inducted' into serivce! Production rate is one missile per 8 months, Pakistan and China must be really scared.
Meanwhile, still no missile to cover uncle dearest.
moron last anon, this is the last test of the development phase. after its user test-firings. stop behaving like a cretin.
The glaciatic pace of Indian missile testing, development and deployment means only one thing. Learn to read and speak Mandarin. Successive Indian governments have sold out their people and now China will cash in. It is inevitable. We frighten no one. Even the Pukes are busy running around Bombay killing people. Pathetic.
Agni-3's SLBM version is important for Arihant. Agni-2AT pretty much covers all of china.
su market, what the hell is an Agni-2AT? A fantasy of that hack Arun_S?
Hope the trial goes well and production starts ASAP. Development of the submarine launched version of Agni 3 and the Agni 5 should be given top priority. Arming INS Arihant and it's soon to follow sister boats with 750 Km K-15's is plain absurd!
