“I haven’t heard any rumours about the MMRCA competition on whether it could go to a company other than the one selected,” Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne said today. “Contract negotiations [with Dassault] are very well on track and progressing satisfactorily. We expect a contract to be awarded this financial year,” he added.
The IAF chief said the primary contract would be only for 126 aircraft, and that the 50 per cent options clause (63 additional aircraft) had not been decided on yet, but was available.
No dout mmrca process going very well. But it's too slow & We are already late.
Who asked him that exact question? he would be unlikely to just blurt that out?
My prediction: Process will be delayed further, mmrca will be scrapped and in a haste to fool the public (all part of the plan), an American bird will be selected.
Good news.
the nerd guy – you're a shame to your name..go sit on those dharnas with kejriwal and bhushan
And you sit with congressi
Any way 20 billion $ is to much for these planes. US is buying F22 in same price!
Why has the MMRCA contract been delayed? What is taking the GOI so much time? Who are the bastards at the helm of decision making?
