the INSAS isn't a good gun at all … lots of issues, especially related to sub-standard steel from SAIL … lots to tell, but can't as some people close to me will get in trouble 🙁
These buggers don't have brain of what… posting such useless comments… always talking about benchmarks, following this & that countries standards…… Every thing is relative depending upon the requirement & the circumstances.
Tell them to wear a Helmet, Gloves and Armour in Thar desert in Pokhran for performing Guard duty…. 🙂
Why are these Garudas carrying these INSAS and why not HK416 or FN F2000 & tavor which are being used by Indian forces. These orange rifles should either be upgarded or better be kept for the paramilitary forces only.
Shiv you should bring up this issue, else these guys will die protecting the country using these low performance weapons.
All: Please read what I've written in the post. These INSAS rifles are NOT standard issue. These Garuds borrowed these rifles from a local unit. They didn't being their AK-47s with them. The Garuds are either way in line to receive new ARs shortly.
