  1. Air Chief is I believe 90+ years old and a crowning achievement indeed! I think Mr. Singh played amongst many others a pivotal part in the famous 1971 Indo-Pak war that has been India's unqualified and singular success. There are many military men and their offshoots who have regaled themselves to these past heroic exploits. However, the time has come to move on. India is relatively a weaker nation to its neighbouring countries than in 1971. It is perfectly obvious why we have to celebrate a 40 year old non-event, IPL victories – failing any success. I read today in a Chinese blog that China has tested an extremely quiet nuclear submarine – quieter than its earlier ones which already had the capability to launch 144 warheads. They have manufactured a S-300, S-400 analogue. I also read in another blog an Indian named challenging everyone to a debate about why India could not manufacture the S-300, S-400 and all projects had to be handed over to Israel < Spyder, Barak 8> – with silly monkeys like him playing the part of educated peons – sorry, offsets. No one challenges or accepts the challenges of losers. will never understand that. He will – slowly and steadily.

Why am I mentioning these trivialities?

Air Chief Arjan Singh may have done his mite for India during the Indo-Pak 1971 war but he did precious little else. Indian Air Force has fallen on hard times and while he lives to 90 – ace Indian Air Force pilots die frequently.

He is not the glorious Arjun of Mahabharata fame – nor should he confuse us so. His sword is better used to sign deals with the US.

    Sat Shri Akal!

  2. Great. Now that we have this portrait I suppose IAF has resolved all the issue it has had over the years. Thats half the battle won. A few more portraits is all we need. Sheesh!
