[Lockheed Martin Photo & Text] India’s next three C-130Js (pictured above) have now reached the final production positions at the Lockheed Martin Marietta facility. These aircraft will join the previous three, which are already in flight test prior to deliveries that will begin later this month. The first C-130J for India will be formally delivered on Dec. 16 at a ceremony in Marietta. Two will be flown to India in early 2011, while two more will arrive in early summer and the last two will be delivered in late summer of 2011.
We must give credits to the americans. They are professional in the approach and spot on time for delivery. Very good.
Super Like!! This Post.
Hope This Birds have a great time with our Forces.
I hope in future we produce and sell these kind of a/c's manufactured indigeneously.

i dont know why but i have a strong feeling that something is really fishy goin on.gotta say these americans work damn fast!
This means we are getting a 1950s vintage AC without 21 st century communication eqp we have paid for them but failed to sign CISMOA. Barvo IAF and MOD, keep letting down India due to protecting your turf and ego.
Now will some one do a bug scrub on these birds? :).
what about the training of Indian crew ?

Pal you think this aircraft is built in 1950s???… please do a little research on the C-130J i.e. it is the latest variant in its class…. Its like saying im not buying the Range rover because it was first built in 1970s….the same goes with the CISMOA … it is like asking Land Rover coming to you any given time inspecting the vehicle… giving conditions on who and what you can carry and where you can and can't go….
Why aren't we buying more of these?
The Americans are pretty fast in delivery..
May be they want to get a good impression from India.
The IAF needs at least 20 C-130J's to make up for the abysmal operational availability of its IL- 76 fleet, and for the AN-32's which will start undergoing life extension and refit in batches, resulting in a serious shortage of available transport planes.
