I guess this was part of the Boeing pitch to IN brass..clearly then spent some effort in 'indianizing' this video…
got one obvious thing wrong though…towards the end a Sea Harrier is shown firing an AAM – looks like a Derby – at a surface vessel….some idiot at Boeing dint review that faux pass…
DRDO guys learn from them….plz we know that u to make good weapons like this but u really lack in publicity…make it attractive every one will at least hav a look…if its is good then sum country might buy it….
Hey shiv i have a quire….At Aero India 2011 whether the aircraft display, aerobatics by aircrafts and exhibition will be same for all the five days or it goes on changing…Me going for first time there, I thought of attending for all the five days but the ticket fare is to high…so plz advice me….
This is a Hanuman Leap in capability for the IN and becoming available at the about the same time as it for the USN. Of course the UN has many more eyes than does the IN, and its eyes fly higher and farther and look deeper than ours do, but for now we are going the right way. Keeping even four of these up in the air at all times – three for each peninsular sector – Bay, A.Sea and IO and one in rotation for relief, would be a feat worthy of the IN. We of course need another 8 to back these up and possibly even use them in swing roles over land – which is where our jugaad comes in
Thats good to watch. Another news from IN, Today (24/12/2010) first of the Navy's Deepak Class fleet tanker just arrived at Naval Dockyard Mumbai. The superstructer looks very big. Does'nt look like commisioned.
The navy ships and subs shown in this video are: 1.INS Viraat 2. Kilo Class sub (Which the P8I attacks and sinks) 3. Nanuchka Class missile boat – also used to be in Indian Navy Service (Which the P8I attacks and sinks)
Any particular reason for choosing the Kilo class sub and the Nanuchka class missile boat as the hostiles? Oversight or did the americans do this?

I am yet to see a Commander sit at the Radar/ Sonar consoles. May be times have changed.
