Livefist can confirm that the first test of the Indo-Israeli Long Range SAM (LR-SAM) was successfully conducted earlier this evening in the Arabian Sea between Mumbai and Goa. The second test will be conducted tomorrow morning between 8.30am till 11am. The LR-SAM was testfired last month from an Israel Navy corvette. Photos and videos of today’s & tomorrow’s tests shortly.
Impressed after long time to disclose the news. Waiting for the videos/photos.
Excellent news, lets hope we can these ships as soon as we can with this missile
This is reallyy good news now Indian Navy ships will be equipped with the best offensive and defensive missiles, Brahmos and LR-SAM.
Very important development , now our ships are secured. Any idea when they r going to test on high speed missiles, because drones move slower.

This takes care of threats above the surface but what about ACTAS ( Active Towed Array Sonars) and anti-sub helos ? At least this PM & DM are proactively and systematically making sure that India defence forces are equipped to deal with the threat perceptions in the neighborhood.
Once the Rafale contract is signed in Q1 next year that'll be another major milestone.
Happy new year to you and to all in your family in the new year please post more frequently. Thanks
